Our Heritage

176 Years. One Family. One Standard.

In 1850, German horticulturist Henry Nanz left Stuttgart for Louisville with a vision: bring European botanical artistry to the American frontier. He opened a greenhouse on Third Street, and within a generation, Nanz & Neuner had 30 acres and 60 greenhouses -- the largest floral operation in the region.

When Henry Nanz Jr. partnered with Henry A. Kraft Jr. -- who had married into the family -- the name became what Louisville knows today. Through fire (1976), relocation, and 176 years of change, the commitment has never wavered: every arrangement leaves this building as if it carries the family name. Because it does.

David Kraft continues that tradition from the same Breckenridge Lane location rebuilt after the fire. The greenhouses are different. The trucks are newer. The flowers still mean what they've always meant.
